One of the nice things about running a blog is that you get sent a lot of music, sometimes so much it's difficult to keep up with it. Sometimes it's gash, and sometimes it's brilliant, most of the time it's average with a ton of Label hyperbole behind it.
This week I'm going to feature three tracks that landed in my in box over the last couple of weeks and i just haven't had time to cover.
First up is this little beauty from Tweezer, aka Christoph Aßmann. I have to say it's nice to find a completely independent and unsolicited track from someone just doing it for the sheer love and this is one of those occasions.
It landed in my inbox earlier this week, by way of a Youtube and Soundcloud link, and after a quick listen I e-mailed Christoph, the guy behind the track, back to say I'd love to feature it.
The track is a pretty full on Electro-Funk-House number, think along the line of that distorted French filter synth sound with a lot of audio chopping going on. It's a bit of an onslaught but it works really well. The production is absolutely spot on, especially considering this track isn't yet mastered (I presume it isn't as it's still unsigned).
give it a listen and if you have the means get behind the track.
