Had a few things land in my inbox of late, and there are a couple of tracks that I have been hammering as aresult, the Deep & Disco track I posted last Friday and this, “Ammo”, by Orphans STHLM & Sticky Stockholm on Swedens 12-3 Recordings.
The EP is a two track affair, Guns & Ammo, side one being Guns and side two Ammo, and it’s Ammo that really bumps it for me.
Deep rhythmic house with a nice little gangsta vocal sample chopped over the top. The tracks actually quite mellow, filtered techy stabs set the mood, but the drums drive it along and are the real stand out part of the track, and if you’re a DJ then it’s a must have, as it’s perfect for mixtapes and dance floors.
It came out the 18th April, and you can grab it on itunes or beatport.
