One of my favourite turntablists ever was Mr Dibbs. Part of the whole Rhymesayer collective he is as great a producer as he is a DJ, and i think "Minimashups" shows that.
Taking Jay-z accapellas and Rhymesayer instrumentals and mashing them together, the concept is nothing new -Dangermouse the Grey album anyone? but it's slams, and tired vocals like 99 Problems sound completely different.
