For your average music consumer it's all gone quiet on the Turntablism front, it's certainly taken a back seat within hip hop, and bar the dmc's there is not that much high profilescratch related stuff floating around, but it's bubbling away and more and more is tarting to come ot the fore right now, so i thought i'd plonk up two things by well kown scratch based dj's from the UK to wet yer appetite.
The first is this stunning Video Mix by DJ Woody.
The mix is a run of 90's based hip hop, layered and cut the hell up, spliced togteher with 90's movies and soundbites, and done so smoothly you will hardly notice the changes. It's a natural extension of Woodys video based DJ shows, that if you get a chance to see you should. It's always brilliant when the people you look up to and admire turn out to be really top people, and one of the nicest guys I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with was DJ Woody, so if you get the chance try and have achat with him as well – he's a very approchable guy.
